And just a little quickie to say that I've been busy making up some more of these favourite soft and silky bamboo and organic cotton tees. 

Isn't that grass green just the best? And that Liberty print is in all the colours that are perfect for Summer.

I've been able to grab some in a larger size, so if you're curvy like me, or just like to wear your tees on the loose side, then you can grab one of these in an extra luscious from the shop!

Tuesday inspirations

My latest colour crush!

I find myself incredibly drawn to this particular shade of blue.

Denim blue, slate blue, dusty blue.

But then again, there's something about green that makes it my favourite still.

I'm having a lazy Sunday.

Which won't be the case next week, when I'll be at my first Piccadilly Market in Geelong.

I've been looking at who else will be there, and making a little wish list!

I'll be bringing some new things along, including these emerald green shirts, which are reminding me that Spring won't be too far away (I hope!).

Has Spring sprung in July?

Just when I was getting settled in for a long and cold Winter, along comes 2 days in a row of incredible mild, sunny, gorgeous Spring like days.

Can't complain!

In between the knitting

I'm enjoying a little lull between markets.

Nothing in my diary until the Winter Indoor Market down here on Queen's Birthday weekend.

Apart from the knitting, it's given me a chance to have a good look at my stock and catch up on some things that were getting a little low in number.

These little scarves are a delight to make if I've got a bit of time.

I think I may possibly be a frustrated quilter.

I do love working out the combinations of patterns and colours.

This green toned one my favourite from the fresh batch!

A kind of romantic gesture

When I'm sewing or knitting I've always preferred to use one of these metal retractable tape measures rather than a traditional soft tailors' tape.

My very old one was getting stuck and difficult to use, and the old bloke gave me this one the other day.

I've been working with it this morning and was thinking how nice it is to use. It's got nice big numbers on it and it sits upright without falling over.

It's also a very pretty shade of green, and it's called a Craftech!

I love cardigans

Jo Sharp cardigan

A lovely customer, Louise, left me a comment yesterday asking if I could post a picture of a cardigan I knitted for myself. We had a nice chat about wool and cardigans and knitting at a market last year.
What an opportunity to bang on about my cardigans I thought!
I love cardigans. I do.

I did a quick count, and I own a dozen.

Yes, that's right. 12 of them.

I have 3 cardigans I’ve knitted for myself, 2 extra lovely ones from Luce Handmade, more than a handful of store bought ones , and a few special op shop numbers.
Is there any better garment for the Victorian climate? I think not. And there’ll always be room for another in my cupboard!

What I've been working on

It's an odd time of year in the Frankie & Ray workroom.

The weather is still warm, but I'm starting to get going on goodies for the cooler months.

I'm having a bit of a flirtation with red, but green is still my favourite.

You'll be able to find these new lovelies at the next Shirt & Skirt market on February 21, and I'll let you know when they hit the shops too!

Green is good

A new t-shirt. Green. Green as grass, green as an emerald. Nice.

I only have a very limited number of these at the moment, so they'll only be going to the market with me for now. I will be making an order to get some more in though, because, well, they're green. Oh, and they have a nice fitted sleeve, scoop neck, and great length in the body.

Frankie & Ray will be in two places at once on Saturday! I will be down at the foreshore market in Apollo Bay on Saturday morning, but I will also have some stock up at the Church Hall Market from tomorrow through to Tuesday.
