The old bloke and I are just back from a weekend in the city.
We took up a rare invitation to members to go to the Committee Room at Flemington.
The course was gorgeous, and almost deserted, on a perfect Melbourne Autumn day.
The betting ring is a bit of a blokes' domain.

I enjoyed looking at the roses, and the horses, and I think I fancy at least one of these for the garden!
