Rolling out the new things

So, here we are at the tail end of the Summer that wasn't.
It's been feeling so much like Autumn this week, I'm prepared to cut my losses and embrace it!
Another reminder is that I've been sending out some new things for the coming season.
This week you'll be finding these new t-shirts, along with the grey ones, and some scarves at I Dream a Highway.
One more swim and I'll be ready, I think.

I could use an extra pair of hands

from here.
I rather fancy myself with 8 arms like the goddess Durga.
Imagine what I could get done in a day!
In the meantime, more scarves are off on their way to everywhere!

Big week

It's been a big week...
A trip to Geelong for some op shop therapy on Monday.
Knitting and sewing getting ready for week 3 of the Winter Artisans' Market at Northcote Town Hall.
Getting orders away for more scarves, and some other goodies, for I Dream a Highway, Ramona Tienda, and the Little Shop of Handmade.
But, tonight the old bloke and I are off on a date! The cinema is back at the Mechanic's Hall for the school holidays, and we're off to see the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
Oh, and we saw our first whale of the season down here on our morning walk! It's a time of year that's cold and wet and dreary, and along come the whales to make us feel special again.
Who says Winter is all bad?

Is that the time?

White rabbit from here

Well, Friday again already.
For a slow week, it's gone pretty fast!
I'm feeling like the white rabbit today, looking at the clock in alarm and rushing off to the post office.
Lots of knitting has been the order of the day, and I Dream a Highway will have more neck scarves in stock by early next week!
I have been starting work on organising the annual Mechanics Institute Hall Winter Indoor Market, which will be on down here on Sunday June 13.
Stay tuned for more news on that....here's a picture of our cafe seating area from last year to whet your appetite!

More new stuff and off to Melbourne

I've been busy!
Which has been tricky with the glorious week of weather we're having down here. I'm fighting the urge to go and tidy up the garden, rather than knuckle down to some sewing.
Here's another new t-shirt for the cooler weather, which hopefully is still around the corner!
The first batch of these shirts and the red shirts are being delivered this week to Flying Fishes and I Dream a Highway.
Of course, I'll have some of these with me too as I'm heading back to the city for my first Melbourne market of 2010, Shirt & Skirt at the Abbotsford Convent on Sunday.
I feel like I've been away for ages, and I suppose it has been a while.
It'll be good to get a catch up with some crafty Melbourne girls, I'm looking forward to hearing about everyone's Summer!

Christmas is coming

Here's a little look at the new skirts I'll have ready for Shirt & Skirt next week.
I'm very happy with the way the new linen pockets look against the stripe. I'll be working on having some red stripe ones ready too.
A call from I Dream a Highway for more stock made me realise that it's only 2 weeks until Christmas! Some more t-shirts and belts have gone to them in today's post.
A big stocktake of t-shirts has left me in a small panic, but never fear, my fantastic suppliers are pulling out all stops to get their orders filled before closing for the break. I seem to get caught by surprise at how quickly December goes by every year.
I've also ordered some more fabric today, and am looking forward to working with something new for my red 3/4 sleeve t-shirts.
Oh, it's going to be a busy week!

Is that a birdie I hear?

Picture thanks to GeorgieLove
The wonderful and super efficient Sally from GeorgieLove emailed me today to let me know the new t-shirts are now available from her shop.
This one is the partner to the flower t-shirt, and Sally did such a wonderful job with the photo, I thought I'd borrow it! Thanks Sally!

Spring flowers

We had a great day out at Shirt & Skirt yesterday. I was going to post some pretty market pictures, but went to Melbourne without my camera. Oops.
Here's a shot of one of my new designs instead. You can get one from me at the market, or from Flying Fishes, I Dream a Highway, and very soon from Georgielove.
